Back-strap Woven Huipil
This special huipil was woven on a backstrap loom in the Guatemalan highland community of San Juan Cotzal. This region has an interesting history, which we will be writing about in our articles about the huipil styles of this region. This piece has animal faces woven into the design, which are part of Maya cosmology. Please contact us for more information.
