Back-strap Woven Huipil
This special huipil was woven on a backstrap loom in the Guatemalan highland community of Nahuala. Nahuala has an interesting history, which we will be writing about in our articles about the huipil styles of this region. This piece has Maya Gods woven into the design, making this an incredible example of Maya cosmology in textiles. Please contact us for more information.
